Tickets, Discounts and Special Offers
The price of the ticket shall be the price set at the time we accept your booking, inclusive of any applicable taxes but exclusive of any booking fee and collection or delivery fee.
Tickets will only be delivered to the billing address of the debit/credit card holder unless we specifically offer you the facility for tickets to be sent to an alternative address. The cardholder must present the credit/debit card used to make the booking if the tickets are collected in person at the box office. In the case of e-tickets patrons must ensure they bring proof of purchase and ID
Please check your tickets carefully on receipt and contact us immediately if there is a mistake. We reserve the right to provide alternative seats of no less value to those specified on the ticket if the staging of the event reasonably requires a relocation.
Some discounts and special offers are not available from every sales outlet. Discounts and special offers are subject to availability, not available at every performance and are at the discretion of the Sales and Customer Services Manager or Duty Sales Managers. Discounts cannot be combined and where a concession is claimed, proof of identity and concession entitlement will be required.
The Weather
The auditorium and stage are completely uncovered. We will make every effort to complete the performance and reserve the right to stop and start the action as necessary. Performances are never cancelled or abandoned before the advertised starting time and then only in the event of very bad weather. If cancellation or abandonment is unavoidable, ticket holders will be entitled to equivalent seats for any other performance in the main season (excludes comedy and music events), subject to availability; where tickets were bought at a promotional rate, alternative performances will still be offered but may be restricted. Music and comedy events (which are one-off events and not part of the main repertoire) take place regardless of weather conditions. Refunds are not given for cancellation or abandonment as a result of the weather. Find out more about how to exchange your tickets.
Refunds and Exchanges
Tickets may not be exchanged or refunded except in the case of a cancelled performance (excluding weather related cancellation– see above). In the case of a non-weather related cancellation only the face value of your ticket is refundable. In any event, personal arrangements including travel, accommodation or hospitality relating to the event which have been arranged by you are at your own risk and not refundable by us.
We can accept tickets for resale but we will only attempt to resell them once a show is sold out and cannot guarantee that they will be resold. An administration charge of £2 per ticket will be made for each ticket successfully resold.
Tickets may only be purchased from the Open Air Theatre Box Office or one of our authorised agents. We reserve the right to refuse to sell tickets to anyone we believe to be purchasing for the purposes of resale. Unless given express permission by us, tickets may not be resold or transferred for profit or commercial gain. To do so will render tickets void and the holder will be refused entry. Any ticket in breach of these terms and conditions shall be void.
Food and drink booked and purchased in advance
Food and drink which is booked and purchased in advance (including interval orders) is non-exchangeable and non-refundable. By purchasing food and drink in advance, you confirm you are aged 18 or over. Food and drink booked and purchased in advance must be claimed for at the performance which is stated on the voucher. All advance orders of food and drink will be available at least until the advertised starting time of the performance for which they were booked regardless of whether or not the actual performance is subsequently cancelled or abandoned as the result of bad weather. Your ticket for the performance itself still benefits from our weather policy.
At the venue
The management reserves the right to refuse ticket holders admission to the theatre in reasonable circumstances including for health and safety, licensing reasons or where a ticket is void.
The management also reserves the right to request ticket holders leave the venue at any point on reasonable grounds and may take any appropriate action to enforce this right.
You must comply with the instructions and directions given by theatre staff.
Babes in arms are not permitted in the auditorium.
We are not liable for any loss, theft or damage of your personal belongings, other than that caused as a result of our negligence.
All menu items are subject to availability and may be substituted. We cannot guarantee that any menu items are nut-free. Please ask a member of staff for further details. To allow you sufficient time to take your seats, the bar staff are asked to stop serving five minutes prior to the performance. You are welcome to take drinks in to the auditorium but we ask that you do not eat during the performance. In accordance with licensing regulations, you must be over the age of 18 to purchase and/or consume alcohol. You will need proof of ID if you appear to be under the age of 21. Off sales are not permitted.
Latecomers
We cannot guarantee that latecomers will be admitted. We will endeavour to admit them at a suitable point. Find out more about our Latecomers policy.
The Performances
Smoking and the use of cameras, recording equipment and mobile phones is not permitted in the auditorium. We reserve the right to refuse admission on account of health and safety, environmental or security concerns at our discretion and to make changes to the advertised programme owing to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, which includes the use of understudies.
